About Me
Hi! I am a media artist & educator based in New York City by way of Oregon and Paris. I produce place-based, multi-sensory documentary audio projects, often investigating musical histories, realities & possibilities. My work is interdisciplinary & incorporates archives, oral histories, social practice, psychogeography & music theory. I hold an MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College, CUNY.
As an educator, I’ve designed and led youth audio storytelling workshops at the DreamYard Project, taught media studies as an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College, and currently work as a substitute teacher in public schools throughout NYC.
During the 2022-23 academic year I was a Social Practice CUNY Actionist Fellow. In 2024 an audio doc I made about Oregon winemaking won a Signal Award for Best Experimental Branded Podcast.
My practice is informed by my past lives as a DIY filmmaker, jazz pianist, French immersion preschool teacher, community radio host and standup comedian. I love biking around the city, wearing velvet jumpsuits, drinking coffee, cooking to jazz and reviewing whoopie pies.
Past collaborators and clients include Albina Music Trust, AO McClain, Avocado Green Brands, Bryan Potter Design, Chinatown Art Brigade, Dominio IV Wines, the Japanese American Museum of Oregon, the Legal Aid Society NYC, the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, Present Futures, Vanport Mosaic, & the World Arts Foundation Inc.
